*    The contract for driving lessons is solely between you and the driving instructor - Dan Jackson  PRN 797614

1.    PAYMENT

Lessons are to be paid for at least 48 hrs in advance. Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer, Lesson pricing may be subject to change and reasonable notice (2 months) will be given of such changes.

2.   LESSON CANCELLATION POLICY

Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice (regardless of the reason) or lessons you fail to attend will be charged for. Further lessons may be refused if you continuously cancel them.

3.    LESSON START & END LOCATION

Your lessons must start and finish at the prearranged locations, If you have not arrived within 15 minutes of the lesson start time, it will not proceed and will be charged for.

*** Should I be late to any lesson due to circumstances beyond my control I will text to advise, and the time will be made up either at the end of the lesson or a future lesson if not convenient for us both. ***

4.     INTENSIVE DRIVING COURSES 

Intensive Driving courses require a 50% non refundable deposit to secure the booking into my diary.  The deposit that you pay is part payment for the course.  You have a 14 day cooling off period to request a refund of the deposit, any time after this then the deposit / full payment is forfeited and any test fees lost.  The reason that I cannot refund a deposit or full payment is that I am a self employed Driving Instructor and cancellation / amendment leaves me without any income for the week(s) that you have reserved.

You have a period of 14 days from the date of deposit payment in which you are entitled to request a refund, however, you waive the right to the 14 day cooling off period if you have booked a course to start within this period.

5.    HEALTH & FITNESS TO DRIVE

You must notify me of any matters that may affect your ability or entitlement to have driving tuition, for example, but not limited to, any lack or loss of a valid provisional driving licence. It is essential that you disclose any medical conditions that may affect your ability to drive, and any medication taken at the beginning of your lesson. I reserve the right to refuse to undertake a driving lesson should I deem you unfit to drive on any occasion.

6.    DATA PROTECTION

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

All personal details held about you are stored in the Total Drive App only and can be viewed via the app by yourself at any time. They can be amended on request and will not be shared with any third party without your prior consent.

7.   USE OF MY VEHICLE ON DRIVING TEST DAY 

I reserve the right to withhold the use of my car for the driving test if in my opinion you do not meet the required standard OR in the event that any money is owed from previous lessons.

8.   COVID 19 

The Most recent Government Advice regarding Covid 19 will be followed during lessons.
